VIP — Secure Bus Communication (SecOC), EPS Message Verification Failed
SecOC (Secure Onboard Communication) is a cryptographic security layer that verifies the authenticity of critical CAN bus messages, to prevent tampering or injection of fake commands. When verification of a specific EPS message fails, the system can no longer guarantee that message is legitimate, even if its content looks normal — a cybersecurity measure, not necessarily a mechanical steering fault.
